a) a=6 , d=-2

=>a_{5}=a+(5-1)×d

=>a_{5}=6+[4×(-2)]

=>a_{5}=-2

b)a=1 , d=\frac{-1}{3}

=>a_5=a+(5-1)×d

=>a_{5}=1+[4×(\frac{-1}{3})]

=>a_5=1-\frac{4}{3}

=>a_5=\frac{-1}{3}
