EVALUATION
Here it is given that the n th term of an arithmetic progression is 8n + 2
First term = ( 8 × 1 ) + 2 = 8 + 2 = 10
Second Term = ( 8 × 2 ) + 2 = 16 + 2 = 18
Third term = ( 8 × 3 ) + 2 = 24 + 2 = 26
Fourth term = ( 8 × 4 ) + 2 = 32 + 2 = 34
∴ Common Difference
= Second Term - First term
= 18 - 10
= 8
Also the Arithmetic progression is
= 10 , 18 , 26 , 34 ,....
FINAL ANSWER

According to question,
an = 8n + 2
a1 = 8 × 1 + 2 = 10
a2 = 8×2 + 2 = 18
a3 = 8×3 + 2 = 26
First term a1 = 10.
Common difference ( d ) = a2-a1
= 18 - 10
d = 8.
The AP series is 10,18,26,34,42,50,58,66...(8n+2)
