50 cm as radius of curvature is the distance between centre of curvature and pole and focal length is half of it. Therefore it is half of 100 cm.

Heya user,

The focal length of a convex mirror is given by :
f = R / 2; but since, the Focal point falls in the path of light,
we take focal length as +ve rather than -ve as we do in the case of concave..

.'. Here. the focal length is 1/2 m = 0.5m
