Find the focal length of convex lens using u-v method

The focal length can be calculated by plotting a graph between -u and -v of the convex lens...The looks like a hyperbola.from the origin, draw a line at an angle of 45 degrees..that line would touch the hyperbola.from there not the value at x and y axis it gives us 2f.

We can also find it by :  f = \frac{uv}{u+v}

1/f =1/v - 1/u

Where, f = focal length

v = image distance

u = object distance
