Let the fourth term be ‘x’.

ATQ,

18:27: :32:x

Where, 18 and x are known as the - extreme terms of a proportion. And 27 and 32 are known as the mean terms of a proportion.

We know that:

Product of extremes= Product of means.

Therefore,

18•(x)= 27•32
x= (27•32)/18
Ans. x= 48

Answer: The fourth term of the proportion is 48.

Answer:

48

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the fourth term = x

18 : 27 : : 32 : x

=> 18 x x = 27 x 32

=> x = \frac { 27\times 32 }{ 18 } = 3 x 16 = 48

Fourth term = 48
