greatest no that can divide 281, 695 and 1615 leaving the same remainder 5 in each case-------

step 1:substract 5 from each number

           then the new no.s are

             276,690,1610

step 2:find the HCF of these 3 no.s to get your answer

          HCF(276,690,1610)

276 = 3 × 2 × 2 × 23

690 = 5 × 3 × 2 × 23

1610 = 5 × 2 × 23 × 7

common-----2 × 23

then  HCF(276,690,1610)=46

therefore 46 is the greatest no that can divide 281, 695 and 1615 leaving the same remainder 5 in each case.

hope it helps buddy
