First find the difference between the 3 numbers.

The 3 numbers then obtained will be :-

107 - 44 = 63

125 - 107 = 18

125 - 44 = 81

Now, we need to find the H.C.F of the differences, i.e, 18, 63 and 81; which comes out to be 9.

Therefore, the required number is '9'.

= = = = = = = = = = =

Verification :-

44 ÷ 9 leaves the remainder 8.

107 ÷ 9 leaves the remainder 8.

125 ÷ 9 leaves the remainder 8.

= = = = = = = = = =
