find the greatest number of four digit which must be added to 5231 so that the final number becomes exactly divisible by 12, 15, 27, 32 and 40

LCM of 12, 15, 27, 32, 40 = 1080

greatest 5 digit number = 9999

9999 + 5231 = 15230

15230 ÷ 1080 = 14 as quotient

so 1080 x 14 = 15120

15120 - 5231 = 9889

So 9889 is the greatest 4digit number which must be added to 5231


I think they give you multiple choices. If not, this is the greatest number.

Check:-   9889 + 5231 = 15120 ÷ 1080 = 14
