Given  :   6, 15, 35, 40, 900, 520, 300, 400, 1800, 2000

To Find :  Harmonic Mean

Solution:

Harmonic mean  =    n/∑(1/xi)

6, 15, 35, 40, 900, 520, 300, 400, 1800, 2000

n = 10

∑(1/xi) = 1/6 + 1/15 + 1/35 + 1/40 + 1/900 + 1/520  + 1/300 + 1/400 + 1/1800 + 1/2000

= ( 27,3000 +  10,9200 +  4,6800 + 4,0950 + 1820 +  3150 + 5460 + 4095 +   910 + 819   )/ 1638000

= 486204 / 1638000

Harmonic mean  =     10/(486204 / 1638000)

= 16380000/486204

 = 33.68956

=  33.69

Harmonic Mean  for given data is 33.69
