Find the HCF and LCM of 612 and 1314 by using prime factorization method

Solution:-

given by:-

we find us the HCF and LCM of 612 and 1314

by prime factorization method:-

1314 = 2×3×3×73

612 = 2×2×3×3×17

HCF (1314 , 612 ) product of smallest power of each common prime factor in the numbers = 2×3×3 = 18.

LCM(1314, 612) product of highest  power of each prime factor involved in the numbers = 2×2×3×3×17×73 = 44,676 .

LCM ( 1314,612 ) =?

Prime factors of 1314 and 612

1314 = 2×3×3×73

So HCF = 2×3×3 = 18

And LCM = 2×2×3×3×17×73 = 44,676
