We can use the method of Division lemma
so according to euclids division lemma, a=bq+r , where a=divident b=divisor q= quotient and r=reminder
So here we can take 'a' as the biggest value given so,
a=64
b= 48
Divide once and we will get
A reminder and quotient.
According to equation
64=48×1+16
From reminder and quotient we have to select the biggest value as 'a' and the other one 'b' divide once we will get
48=16×3+0
Since we got reminder zero,we haveto stop. As a result the quotient will be the Hcf.
So the answer is 16.

In simple we can do as:
a=bq+r
=64=48×1+16
=48=16×3+0
=HCF is 16.

Hope its useful
