find the height of an eilateral triangle having side 5cm

Using Heron's formula,

a=5cm
b=5cm
c=5cm
S= a+b+c/2 = 5+5+5/2=7.5cm
Area= √7.5*2.5*2.5*2.5
=√2.5*3*2.5*2.5*2.5
= 2.5*2.5√3
=6.25√3 cm²

Since area of a triangle = 1/2 bh
6.25√3 = 1/2 (5) (h)
h = 6.25√3 *2/5
=12.5√3/5
=2.5√3 cm…
