To find

Height of cylinder

Given

Volume of cylinder = 1.54m²

Diameter of base = 140cm

Radius of base = 140/2 = 70cm

1m = 100cm

So, radius of base = 70/100 = 0.7m

Volume of cylinder = 1.54

=> πr²h = 1.54

=> 22/7 × (0.7)² × h = 1.54

=> 0.49 × 22h/7 = 1.54

=> 10.78h/7 = 1.54

=> h = 1.54 × 7/10.78

=> h = 10.78/10.78 = 1m

Hence, required value of height is 1m

Some Formulae

  • Volume of cylinder = πr²h
  • Volume of cube = a³
  • Volume of cuboid = l × b × h
  • Volume of cone = 1/3πr²h
