Find the horizontal force and the force inclined at 30° to the vertical, whose resultant is a vertical force P N. ​

pj =  {f}^{1} i + ( -  {f}^{2} cos \: 30 \: i + {f}^{2} sin \: 30j) \\

Equating the coefficient of i and j, we get

 {f}^{1}  -  {f}^{2} . \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2}  = 0 \: and \:  {f}^{2} . \frac{1}{2}  = p.

 {f}^{2}  = 2p \: and \:  {f}^{1}  =  \sqrt{3} p
