Potassium permanganate is a inorganic substance which has a purple bronze to grayish appearance. It is a strong oxidizing agent. When dissolved in water it will form a magenta too deep purple color. It takes 6.4 g of KMnO4 potassium permanganate to dissolve in 100 mL of water at a standard temperature 20°C. It takes 250 g of potassium permanganate to dissolve in 1 L of water it's 65°C.
