Hypotenuse² = height² +base²

(Hy)² = 27² + 240²

(Hy)²= 729 + 57600=58329

(hy) =  \sqrt{58329}

=241.51 inches

Using pythagoras theorem,

AB² + BC² = AC²

(27)² + (240)² = AC²

729 + 57600 = AC²

58329 = AC²

AC = √58,329

AC = 241.5 inches
