Find the hypotenuse of a triangle that has a 13cm leg and a height of 7 cm

use Pythagoras theorem ,
Hypotenuse² = base²+ height²
=(13)² + (7)²
=169 +49
=218

hypotenuse = √218 = 14.76 cm

Other sides are AC and BC

(AB)² = (AC)²+(BC)²
(AB)² = (13)²+(7)²
(AB)² = 169+49
(AB)² = 218
AB = √218

ANS: Hypotenuse=√218
