Given ;

u = -40cm

R = 60cm >> f= 30cm [+ve since convex lens given ]

Explanation:

as per lens formula,

\frac{1}{v} -\frac{1}{u} = \frac{1}{f} \\\frac{1}{v} +\frac{1}{40} = \frac{1}{30} \\\\\frac{1}{v} = \frac{1}{30} -\frac{1}{40} \\v = 12cm

HENCE IMAGE DISTANCE IS 12 CM
