Let the initial velocity of the car be u.
Given that,
v=0m/s, a=-2.5m/s^2 ,t=10s
Since, v=u+at
u=v-at=0-((-2.5)×10)=25m/s
Hence the initial velocity of the car is 25m/s.
It should be noted here that - sign represents retardation.
