find the largest number which divides 438 and 606 leaving remainder 6 in each case

606-6=600=a

438-6=432=b



By Euclid's division lemma


a=bq+r

600=432*1+168

432=168*2+96

168=96*1+72

96=72*1+24

72=24*3+0


Hcf(600,432)=24



Therefore 24 is the highest no. Which divide 606 and 438 leaving remainder 6.
