Answer:

(i) The lateral surface area of the cube is 4a²

So, the lateral surface area of a cube (lsa) =4×2²

4×2² will be 4×4=16m

Therefore the lsa of a cube is 16m

The total surface area of a cube is 6a²

So, the total surface area of the cube (tsa) =6×2²

6×2² will be 6×4=24m

Therefore the tsa of a cube is 24m

(ii) The lateral surface area of the cuboid is 2(l+b)+h

So,the lateral surface area of the cuboid (lsa) =2(3+4)2 =2×3+2×4+2×3+2×4

6+8+6+8=28m

Therefore the lsa of the cube is 28m

The total surface are of the cuboid is 2(lb+bh+lh)

So the total surface area of the cuboid is 2(3×4+4×2+3×2)

By multiplying 2 with all the numbers you get the answer as 24+16+12=52m

Therefore the tsa of the cuboid is 52m
