Answer :-

  • L.S.A. = 28.5 sq m.
  • T.S.A. = 72.5 sq m.

Explanation :-

Given :

  • Length of Cuboid = 5.5 m.
  • Breadth of Cuboid = 4 m.
  • Height of Cuboid = 1.5 m.

To find :

  • Lateral Surface Area and Total Surface Area.

Solution :

First, Calculate Lateral Surface Area.

Formula Used :- 2(l + b)h.

➞ L.S.A. = 2(5.5 + 4)1.5

➞ L.S.A. = (2)(9.5)(1.5).

➞ L.S.A. = 19 × 1.5.

L.S.A. = 28.5 sq m.

Now, Calculate Total Surface Area.

Formula Used :- 2(lb + bh + hl).

➞ T.S.A. = 2(5.5 × 4 + 4 × 1.5 + 1.5 × 5.5)

➞ T.S.A. = 2(22 + 6 + 8.25)

➞ T.S.A. = 2(36.25)

T.S.A. = 72.5 sq m.
