⟹ ⁣Question :-

find the lateral surface area and total surface area of the following :-

l = 25cm

b = 12cm

h = 10cm

To find :-

LSA ( lateral surface area ) of rectangle

TSA (total surface area )of rectangle

Formulas :-

LSA = 2h ( l + b )

TSA = 2 ( lb + bh + lh )

Given :-

length = 25 cm

breadth = 12 cm

height = 10 cm

Solution :-

lateral \: surface \: area \:

2h(l + b)

2 \times 10(25 + 12)

20(2 5 + 12)

20 \times 37

740

total \: surface \: area \:

2(lb \:  + bh \:  +  \: lh \: )

2(25  \times 12 + 12 \times 10 + 25 \times 10 \: )

2(300 + 120 + 250)

2 \times 670

1340

Answers :-

LSA - 740 cm

TSA - 1340 cm
