Given

Dimensions of a cuboid are 8cm ×5

8cm ×52cm×6cm

we can write as

length of the cuboid =8cm

breadth of the cuboid=5.2 cm

height of the cuboid=6cm

we know that

\underline{\sf L.S.A \: of \: cuboid =2h(l+b) sq.units }

L.S.A=2×6(8+5.2)

L.S.A=12(13.2)

L.S.A=158.4 sq.cm.

\huge \boxed{\sf L.S.A=158.4 {cm}^2}

Some more important formulas

For a cuboid,

=>T.S.A=2(lb+bh+bl) sq.units

=>Volume \:of \:cuboid\:=lbh \:cubic.units

For a cube,

=>L.S.A=4{a}^2

=>T.S.A=6{a}^2

=>volume=a^3

Given,

The dimensions of a cuboid are 8cm × 5.2cm × 6cm.

That means here,

The length of the cuboid = 8cm

The breadth of the cuboid = 5.2cm

and the height of the cuboid = 6cm.

Now we have to find out the lateral

surface area of cuboid.

Lateral surface area of a cuboid (LSA) = 2h (l+b) square units.

Where, h = height of the cuboid

l = length of the cuboid

b = breath of the cuboid

Now substitute the values of length, breadth and height in the formula.

Lateral surface area of cuboid = 2×6 (8+5.2)

Lateral surface area of cuboid = 12 (13.2)

Lateral surface area of cuboid = 158.4

Therefore the lateral surface area of cuboid is 158.4 square units.

ADITIONAL INFORMATION:

●Cuboid and cube are regular prisms having six faces and of which four are lateral faces and the base and top.

●If length of cuboid is 'l',breadth is 'b',and height is 'h' then,

Total surface area of cuboid (TSA) = 2 (lb+bh+lh) square units.

Lateral surface of cuboid (LSA) = 2h (l+b)square square units.

Volume of cuboid = lbh cubic units.
