Here, 120/2=60/2=30/2=15/3=5

so, 120=2×2×2×3×5

Again, 144/2=72/2=36/2=18/2=9/3=3

So, 144= 2×2×2×2×3×3

So, common factors=

2, 2,2,3 and other factors = 2,3,5

So, LCM= 2×2×2×3×2×3×5= 240

HCF= 2×2×2×3 =24.
