The least count of an instrument is the least readings which can be measured accurately without any approximation using the instrument.

It is the measure of smallest scale of division in the measuring scale of the instrument.

Zero error is the non zero reading shown by the instrument when the actual true reading is zero. The zero error can either be positive or negative.

In the following image, as the voltages are in the multiples of 0.1 and current in the multiples of 0.5, therefore the least counts of voltmeter and ammeter are 0.1 and 0.5 respectively.
