Concept

LCM of two or more numbers is the smallest number that completely divides all of them.

Given

numbers 10, 15, 25, 30, 40 and 45

Find

we need to find the least number from which 25 must be subtracted so that the result is divisible by all the given numbers

Solution

We have  10, 15, 25, 30, 40, 45

the least number that is divisible by all these numbers will be their lowest common multiple or LCM.

Thus, we need to calculate the LCM of 10, 15, 25, 30, 40, 45 which comes out to be 1800.

Now, further we add 25 to the LCM, we get,

1800 + 25 = 1825.

Therefore, 1825 will be the least number from which 25 is to be subtracted so that the result is exactly divisible by 10, 15, 25, 30, 40 and 45.
