Now the square root of 10^5:

√10^5=100√10=316.23 (As √10=3.1623)**

Now, to be the smallest number of six digits, the number must be greater than (316.23^2) and it's swuare root must be an integer.

Now the nearest integer to 316.23 that is greter than itself is, 317.

So, the smallest 6 digit perfect square will be:

317^2=100489 sq root=317
