Find the least number which is exactly divisible by 8,20 and 24

The smallest number which is divisible by 8, 20 and 24 = LCM of { 8, 20, 24 }

now , LCM of { 8, 20, 24} :
take prime factors of each
prime factor of 8 = 2 × 2 × 2
prime factors of 20 = 2 × 2 × 5
prime factors of 24 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

so, LCM of { 8, 20, 24} = 2³ × 3 × 5 = 120

hence, smallest number = 120

That will be the LCM of 8, 20 and 24.
After calculating, you'll see it is 120.
So answer is 120. But you have edited, saying greatest three digit number. The greatest 3 digit multiple of 120 is 960. So you've got your answer.
