let the breadth be x m
length is ( x+5) m
according to condition
area of rectangle= length × breadth
= x × ( x+5)
= x^2 + 5x
x^2 +5x = 36
x^2+5x-36=0
x^2+9x-4x-36=0
x(x+9)-4(x+9)
x-4=0 or X+9=0
x=4 or. x=-9
x=4
length={5+x).
=5+4
=9
ans= length=9
breadth=4
