As the rule of Pythagoras theorem we can see that ∆BAD is a right angle triangle.
So,AD²+AB²=BD²
BD=√4²+8²
=√100
=10cm
Then,We know that DE=BE[The two ears of a rectangle bisect each other]
Hence,DE=BE=10/2=5cm
