The triangle a' b' c shall be an equilateral triangle as:
If AB is the diameter of the circle then that means that the distance from A to C is equal to distance from B to C..
That also means that the distance from A to a'
is equal to distance from b to b'..So distance from A' to C is = distance from B' to C..
So it's one angle is 60 degree..and two sides are equal so it is an isosceles..
And so the Base angles will be equal which makes all 3 angles equal..
So it is an equilateral triangle and so distance from a' to b' will be 4 cm..
Hope it helps..
