According to theorem the perpendicular drawn from the centre of a circle to a chord bisects the chord
By applying pythagoras theorem
half length of chord=8cm
Total length=2*8=16 cm

 \sqrt{ {10}^{2} -  {6}^{2}  }  =  \sqrt{100 - 36}  =  \sqrt{64}  = 8cm

length \: of \: the \: chord = 2 \times 8 = 16cm
