Find the length of a tangent from a point, which is 9.1cm away from the centre of the circle. Whose

Given:-

radius of circle = 8.4 cm.

the distance from centre = 9.1cm.

now, using Pythagoras theorem,

x = √(9.1)²- (8.4)²

x = √82.81 - 70.56

x = √ 12.25

x = 3.5

Hence, length of tangent = 3.5 cm.
