Given:- Side of Equilateral Triangle = 12 cm

Let's Solve:- We know that Altitude of a triangle is perpendicular on side of triangle.

so, In ΔABD right angled at D

AD² = AB² - BD²

AD² = 12² - 6²

AD² = 144 - 36

AD = √108

AD = 6√3 cm

∴ Altitude of equilateral triangle = 6√3 cm

We know that Median of any triangle bisects the side on which it lies.

so, In ΔABD

AD² = AB² - BD²

AD² = 12² - 6²

AD² = 144 - 36

AD = √108

AD = 6√3 cm

∴ Median of equilateral triangle = 6√3 cm
