length of the rod = the diagnol of the room

length of room= 12
Breadth. =9
height. =8



Longest rod or the diagnol = square root of length X length plus breadth X breadth plus height X height

=√(l^2 + b^2 + h^2)
=√(144+81+64)
=√289
=17
diagnol
of the
room =17


therefore, the length of the longest rod
that can be placed in a room 12×9×8 = 17
