Diagonal of rectangle ABCD= BD.

By Pythagoras Theorem,

bd {}^{2}  = bc {}^{2}  + cd {}^{2}  \\  \\  bd {}^{2}  = (8) {}^{2}  + (15) {}^{2}  \\  \\ bd {}^{2}  = 289cm

Hola ! mates here's Ur solution...

Given:

BC = 15cm.

CD = 8 cm.

Find; BD the diagonal.

Solution:

and, we know that all the angles of rectangle is 90°.

so, <C = 90..

Now, by Pythagoras theorem:

In BCD ;

BC ² + CD² = BD²

= 15² + 8² = BD²

= 225+64= BD²

= 289= BD ²

= BD = 289= 17cm.(ans)...
