Length=15cmand breadth=8cm
Lenght of diagonal= \sqrt{l^2+b^2
therfore= \sqrt{ 15^2+8^2
= \sqrt{289=17
Therfore length of the diagonal =17

Answer:

Diagonal of the rectangle (d)=17cm

Explanation:

Given Dimensions of a rectangle:

Length (l) = 15 cm

Breadth (b) = 8 cm

Let diagonal = d

_______________________

We know that,

\boxed {Diagonal (d)=\sqrt{l^{2}+b^{2}}}

________________________

\implies d = \sqrt{(15)^{2}+8^{2}}

\implies d = \sqrt{225+64}

\implies d = \sqrt{289}

\implies d = \sqrt{17^{2}}

\implies d = 17\: cm

Therefore,

Diagonal of the rectangle (d)=17cm
