Length= 6

Breadth= 8

Height= 7.5

The longest rod id the measure of its diagonal.

Diagonal of cuboid=Root of 6 *6 + 8*8+ 7.5*7.5

=Root of 36 + 64+ 56.25

= root of 156.25

= 12.5 cm

The longest rod is 12.5 cm

There is only one way to fit the longest rod into the rectangular tube Oracle box, and that is diagonally.

Therefore it is pretty clear now that you have to find the diagonal value of the container.

Length of the diagonal = √(L²+B²+H²) = √(6²+8²+7.5²) = √(36+64+56.25) = √15625 = 12.5 cm.

The length of the longest rod that can be fitted into a rectangular tube oracle box of dimensions 6 cm 8 cm and 7.5 cm is 12.5cm. [Ans]
