Provided that:

  • Volume = 200 cm cube.
  • Density = 7.8 g/cm cube.

To calculate:

  • The mass

Solution:

  • The mass = 1560 g

Using concept:

  • Density formula

Using formula:

  • D = M/V

Where, D denotes density, M denotes mass and V denotes volume.

Required solution:

→ Density = Mass/Volume

→ D = M/V

→ 7.8 = M/200

→ 7.8 × 200 = M

→ 1560 = M

→ M = 1560 g

→ Mass = 1560 g

  • The mass of piece of iron is 1560 grams. \:

★ Now as we have been provided with the  density of the of the object where the object in the above case is considered to be the piece iron .We also have the measure of the volume and the density of the iron piece so , let's substitute the values in the formula above and find the mass of the iron

  • Density ( D ) = 7.8 9/cm³
  • Volume ( V ) = 200cm³

By applying the  values we get the result ;

{ : \implies } \bf Density  = \bf\dfrac{Mass}{Volume}

{ : \implies } \bf Mass  = Volume \times Density

{ : \implies } \bf Mass  = \bf 200 \times 7.8

{ : \implies } {\blue{\underline{\boxed{\bf{ Mass  = 1560 g  }}}}}

Mass = 1.56 kilograms

Henceforth the mass of the object is 1560 grams

\therefore {\underline{\boxed{\tt Mass = 1560 grams }}}

  • The mass of the iron piece is 1560 grams (or) 1.56 kg
