According to the problem given,

Observations are 10 , 12 , 18 , 13 , x , 17

Mean = 15 ( given ) ------( 1 )

Mean = ( 10 + 12 + 18 + 13 + x + 17 ) / 6

= ( 70 + x )/6-------( 2 )

( 2 ) = ( 1 )

(70 + x ) / 6 = 15

70 + x = 15 × 6

70 + x = 90

x = 90 - 70

x = 20

Therefore ,

Value of x = 20

Answer:

k = 20

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean = sum of all observation / Total number of all observation.

Mean = 10 + 12 + 18 + 13 + k + 17 / 6

15 = 10 + 12 + 18 + 13 + k + 17 / 6

k = 15 × 6 - 70

k = 90 - 70

k = 20
