Mean of the following data is 25.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given with the following frequency distribution below;

     Class Interval              Frequency (f)             X               X \times f

          0 - 10                                 3                        5                   15

         10 - 20                                5                       15                  75

         20 - 30                               9                       25                 225

         30 - 40                               5                       35                  175

         40 - 50                               3                       45                 135

                                             \sum f = 25                           \sum X \times f = 625

Here X is calculated as the mid value of class interval, i.e. by the following formula;

              X = \frac{\text{Upper limit + Lower limit}}{2}

So, X for first class interval is, X = \frac{0+10}{2} = 5

Now, the mean formula for frequency distribution data is given by;

                   Mean, \bar X =  \frac{\sum X \times f}{\sum f}

                                  =  \frac{625}{25} = 25

Therefore, the mean of the following  data is 25.
