Hi ,

Let x is the mean proportional  between 3 and 75 ,

3 : x = x : 75

Product of means = product of       extremes

x² = 3 × 75

 x = √ ( 3 × 75 )

x = √ ( 3 × 3 ) × ( 5 × 5 )

 x = 3 × 5

 x = 15

Therefore ,

 Required mean

proportional = x = 15

 I hope this helps you.

let the number be x

As we know that

product of means = product of extreme

x: 3 x : 75

X ² = 3 *75

x = √3 * ( 5 *5 )

x = 3 *5

x = 15

so product of mean = 15
