if the isosceles triangle is a right angled triangle
then one angle be 90°
by angle sum property
90+2x=180
2x=180-90
x=90/2
x=45
each angle =45°

that means
2x+y=180 degress
2x=180-y
x= 180-y/2
x is the angle that is equal. since both gles are equal, so it is written as x+x that means 2x. y denotes the 3rd angle.
