Step-by-step explanation:

supplementary angle =180

(5x+22)+(7x+2)=180

12x+24=180

12x=156

x=13

A=5×13+22=87

B=7×13+2=93

The angles are A = 87° , B = 93°

Given :

m angle A = (5x + 22)° and m angle B = (7x + 2)° are supplementary to each other.

To find :

The value of x

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Form the equation

Here the given angles are m angle A = (5x + 22)° and m angle B = (7x + 2)°

Now the angles are supplementary to each other.

We know that two angles are said to be supplementary if sum of the angles = 180°

Thus we get

(5x + 22)° + (7x + 2)° = 180°

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the value of x

(5x + 22)° + (7x + 2)° = 180°

⇒ 12x° + 24° = 180°

⇒ 12x° = 156°

⇒ x = 13

Thus we have

A = (5x + 22)° = 87°

B = (7x + 2)° = 93°
