angle aob is 90° because diagonals bisect each other at 90°, thus y=90°

thus in triangle aob, 45+90+B=180

thus angle abo=50°

as ad parallel to bc hence, x=50° (vertically opposite angles)

and hence y-x = 90-25=40°
