To find : median of given data

Given data : 11, 39, 25, 37, 42, 43, 46, 43, 45​ .

no .of observation, ( n ) = 9

arranging data in ascending order : 11, 25, 37, 39, 42,43, 43, 45, 46

since, no observation is odd we use following formula to calculate median :

median = value of  \frac{(n + 1 )^{th} }{2}  term of  observation

            = (\frac{9 + 1}{2} )

            =  value of 5th term of observation

            = 42

hence 42 is the median .
