since the given series is in inclusive form.convert

it to exclusive form and preparing cumulative frequency table.we get

now,N=44 (from above table)

N\2=22

now, cumulative frequency just greater than 22 is 25 and the corresponding class is 29.5_39.5

here,L=29.5, h=10, f=9, c.f of preceding class=16 and N\2=22

now, median=l+{h×(N\2)\f

= 29.5+{10×(22-16)\9}

=29.5+{10×6\9}

=29.5+60\9

=29.5+6.6=36.1

hence, median of the data is 36.1
