If the number of observations is odd, the middlemost value or the median is the ((n+1)/2)th observation.

If the number of observations is even, the middlemost value or the median is the average of (n/2)th and (n/2 +1)th observation.

We have been given the set of observations: 1,2,3,4,5,6 7,8,9 and 10.

Note that there are a total of 10 observations,

i.e. n = 10.

Here the data is already arranged in ascending order.
