Let the number missing number = x
Sum of the numbers = 41+43+x+47+49+51
= 231 + x ----( 1 )
Number of terms ( n ) = 6----( 2 )
Mean = ( 1 )/( 2 )
( 231 + x )/6 = 46 ( given )
=> 231 + x = 6 × 46
=> 231 + x = 276
=> x = 276 - 231
=> x = 45
Therefore ,
Missing Number ( x ) = 45
